Icy & Sara's Christmas

Episode 1

{ Camera pans over the lush green canopy of the vast Viridian Forest. Looking up at the sky, tiny specs of white begin to fall slowly down to earth. Scene changes to an inside view of the forest, slowly approaching The Viridian Forest Gym otherwise known as The Bug Gym. }

ANNOUNCER: This episode takes place after Season 4 and before Icy departs for the Spectral Isles. Icy & Sara are still pikachus, thus, all pika-speech will be translated for those who do not speak pikacheese. ^_^;

It’s winter time for our two favorite pikachu trainers, Icy and Sara. Today, they are hard at work, training for next gym challenge. It’s been a long hard road, but after many perils and close calls, Icy and Sara have managed to survive and flourish as top-class trainers. Icy, as you may recall, was able to defeat the Elite Four’s top trainer, Lance, earning him the title of Master Trainer. And then, our hero and his close friends embarked on their greatest adventure ever, the search for the legendary Frosterpie. { Frosterpie waves to the camera. } And now, after finally breaking free of the Gi Desert and awaiting their next adventure in the Spectral Isles, Icy and Sara decided they could really use a nice vacation together for the winter.

“Chuuuu…” Icy sighed plopping down on the gym floor. “That’s enough for the day, I’m worn out…” Sara tiptoed in behind him. “Pi?” Icy peeped as he felt an unbelievably cold object touched the back of his neck. “PIIIIIIKKAAAAA!!!!!” he wailed, flying into the ceiling and landing splat on the ground in front of a giggling pikachu.
“Piiihehhehehehe,” Sara giggled as she looked into Icy’s now spiraling eyes. “Kinda cold ne?” she mocked cutely.
Icy gave a weak nod then got to his feet again. “What was that? Don’t tell me Frosterpie coughed up an ice ball of something.”
Sara shook her head. “No… But if he did, he sure was busy. Look outside pihe,” she said pointing. She and Icy went together to the window and peered out looking over the landscape.
“Pikaah,” Icy said in amazement. All across the land, a think sheet of white snow had replaced once green grass. Icy hadn’t seen this much snow for a long while. Back in Saffron City, the urban weather was too warm for snow to stick. But one day, his parents took him out to where the weather was much cooler. It was then Icy first saw snow. “Look at it all, so pretty, don’t you…” {SPLAT!} Icy turned just in time to be pelted by a small snowball Sara had thrown. “Grr… two can play at this!” Sara shrieked and ran into the forest with Icy close behind.
“Umm… Guess I’ll watch over things while they’re gone hehe. Here caterpie, caterpie, caterpie, caterpie…” a young kid called. His name is Toby and he’s a high-ranking junior trainer at Icy’s Gym. Since Icy is hardly around, Toby usually watches over things. Toby loves bug pokémon almost as much as Icy and hopes to one day share the same adventures his idol does, minus the pikachu part though.
“Pihehehe, can’t catch me!” Sara giggled as she ran. Icy was closing fast, gather a bit of snow as he ran.
“Hmm, hmm, you’re still too slow for me Sara,” Icy called as he leapt into the air. “PiKA!” he cried hurling the snowball he made down at her. It was a direct hit and sent Sara rolling in the snow a few feet. “Agh, oh no, Sara, you ok?” Icy said as he landed. He ran towards her.
Sara waited for just the right moment. Just as Icy leaned down to help her up, she shoved a freezing cold snowball into his face. “Piiihehehhe fun fun fun!!” Sara said rolling in the snow.
Icy began to laugh too and joined her. “Pihehe,” he giggled. He looked at the snow again. Taking some of it in his paw, he molded it onto a small ball and presented it to Sara.
Sara blushed a little bit and took the tiny snowball from Icy and ate a little bit of it. “Pihehe,” she laughed. She then offered Icy a small snowball in return. “Thank you Icy, pihe.”
“Pihehehe, no problem Sara,” Icy said smiling. They looked around. The entire Viridian Forest was blanketed in white powdery snow. Now, pikachus being pokémon have fur which in the colder seasons helps keep them warm. Though it’s not much, Icy and Sara were still at least not frozen, but a little cold. Icy took Sara’s paw and walked close to her so they would both stay warm.
“Your paw… it’s warm,” Sara said, blushing a little. Icy felt the same warmth from her paw. He placed his cheek up to hers, such is the way pikachus show a sign of affection towards one another. “Chuuu,” she cooed softly. Tiny sparks emanated from their cheeks.
“Pihehe,” Icy giggled. Icy had learned a lot about his past from his previous adventures as a pikachu and then human. One of the best was the fact that he and Sara had always been together. Be it destiny or coincidence that they met that one summer morning, there was no denying the fact that the two of them were meant to be together for all time. Icy stopped for a moment and turned to look at Sara. She was still a little red in the face, partly from the cold, partly from blushing still. He gave her a small kiss. “Sara, I love you,” he said softly.
Sara kissed him back replying, “I love you too, Icy.” They took each other’s paws and walked back to the gym paw-in-paw. But as they got back…
“Pika?” Icy said. Sara cooed softly rubbing against his side until she felt something hit her nose. “Oh no…” Icy said sadly. He looked up to see the snow turning into rain drops. “It got warmer outside…”
“No more snow…” Sara sniffed. The two saddened pikachus continued on their way to the gym.
“Hey you guys, are you alright, it started raining and you were gone a long time. I was getting a little worried,” Toby said greeting Icy and Sara.
“No, we’re alright, but it looks like we won’t be having a white Christmas after all…”
“Oh… Yeah… Geez, what bad luck. Too bad you aren’t an ice trainer hehe, you’d probably have a gym out on the Seafoam Islands. It’s soooooo cold there, even during the hottest days of summer!”
  “That cold? Really?”
“Mmm,” Toby said nodding. “Yea, and it snows there ALL THE TIME!!! Uh, huh?” Toby said staring at two pikachus with huge sparkles in their eyes. “Ehhhehheh,” Toby laughed as Icy and Sara scampered off to pack. “Guess they are planning a trip there already.”
“This is awesome, a place always covered in snow!”
“And you can have Cyber fly us there pihehe,” Sara said.
“Yes. Let’s bring some of my pokémon too. Buttercup, Static, Frosterpie, Hyper, Flutter, Cyber, come here. We are going to the Seafoam Islands for Christmas.” His pokémon all cheered happily. Icy of course has many many more pokémon but sadly, not everyone can come along or the rent would be enormous. Besides, Toby and a few other Beginner Trainers would be celebrating the holidays and keeping them all company back home at the gym. (Yea, Toby kinda lives at the gym, strange ne, but hey, that’s what kids do when they turn 10. They leave home. Makes parents so happy because one less mouth to feed, and, and, I think I’ll get back to the story now…)
“I’ll bring Aura along too pihehe,” Sara said happily. “Ok. Are we ready?”
“Yup. Let’s hit it. Seafoam Islands, here we come! PIKA!!!” Cyber converted into its PoryJet mode and Icy and Sara waved goodbye to Toby and the rest as they boarded. “Cyber, destination is Seafoam Islands! Let’s go!” Cyber lifted off the ground and engaged its jet thrusters. In an instant, they were off.
  “Wheeeeeeee,” laughed Sara.

Cyber landed in the soft, white powdery snow on the Seafoam Islands. Icy and Sara got off as Cyber transformed back into its original Porygon shape. “According to this guide, the cabin should be around here somewhere.” Icy looked at the map which was at least 4 times his size and scratched his head.
“I found it!!!” Sara screamed happily, leaping into the air, landing on Icy’s head, and then grabbing his paw and zipping up to the cabin. “Chuuuuuu!!!”
“Whoa,” Icy said as Sara stopped. “What a rush. This place is really nice. This’ll be the best Christmas ever.” He looked over at Sara.
“Yea. And it’s even greater cause me and you can share it together pihehe,” Sara said happily. Icy and Sara both blushed a little and let their pokémon out to play.
“C’mon guys, let’s play in the snow, pikaaaaaaa!!!” Icy dove into the powdery snow while his pokémon stared at it. Most of them had not seen this snow before. Hyper was the first to try.
“Hey, I’m not waiting up here all day while they have the fun,” Hyper said. He slithered into the cold snow. “Tiii tiii TTTIIIINNNYYYYY!!!!” He shivered all over and had to use a flamethrower on himself to stay warm.
“I guess it’s alright to go in,” Flutter thought. A quick toss of a snowball from Buttercup convinced him. “I’ll get you Buttercup,” he cried diving into the snow and launching it back up at her.
Static and Frosterpie both had no choice now. Frosterpie didn’t mind the cold naturally, and Static seeing his master being pikachu and enjoying himself, decided to brave the snow himself as well. Sara’s Butterfree joined in the fun as well.
“Pikaa!” Static balled up a snowball but was hit from two sides causing him to drop the wonderful snow ball on his head. Icy and Sara giggled to themselves as Static got to his feet and gave chase.
Hyper meanwhile, still slightly frozen, managed to slither through a trail he had melted. “Tiny… tiny…” he muttered. He looked up. Three butterfrees, armed with snowballs, hovered above him. There was nowhere to run. With a quick slither back, Hyper fired his flamethrower into the air as all three butterfrees launched their snowballs. The snowballs were instantly melted and the butterfrees quickly retreated before being next.
Back to the pikachus, Static had lost Icy and Sara in the thick snow. He looked around, trying to sense where his master was hiding but found nothing. “Pi…,” he sighed. Suddenly, his senses perked up and he left loose a strong thunderbolt, shocking both Icy and Sara midair.
“Aghhh,” they screamed and landed in the snow. “Oww… Geez Static, when did you get that good.” Static rubbed his head, blushing a little from the kind complement.
“Icy, watch this.” Sara was already lying on her back in the snow and started to move her front and hind legs back and forth. “Snow Pika Angels hehe,” she said giggling. Icy and Static did the same.
Meanwhile, Frosterpie and Cyber were having a fun time ice skating. Frosterpie rode on to of Cyber who had transformed into a small ice board and Frosterpie was freezing the snow in front of him to make a track. “Wheeeeeee,” he laughed as they zoomed past everyone.
Finally, once all the pokémon had played enough in the snow and where looking almost as blue as Frosterpie, they headed back to the cabin. Once inside, all but Frosterpie gather around the roaring fire that Hyper had sparked with Static’s help. Frosterpie didn’t wanna get too close because he’s an ice type.
Once everyone was warmed up, they all had some dinner and followed Icy and Sara into another room where a Christmas tree and lights were set up. All of the pokémon were lost in amazement at all the colors and lights.
“Tomorrow morning, Santa will leave all of us presents, so let’s go to sleep everyone,” Icy told his pokémon. Not knowing exactly what a “present” was, they figured is was something good so they found places around the cabin to lie and went to sleep. Sara meanwhile stayed close to Icy.
“Where are we gonna sleep?” she asked. Icy pointed to an empty area in the other room. “Pihehe, ok,” Sara giggled and took Icy’s paw as they walked.
“Good night Sara,” Icy said yawning a little. Sara yawned as well and went to sleep, snuggled close to Icy.
As night fell, and all the pokémon were asleep, a faint jingle noise could be heard from afar. “Hoo hoo hoooooo,” said a jolly old fat man dressed in red. He sat in a large sleigh with nine stantlers pulling it. To his side was a small red, penguin-like pokémon. “Delibird, there’s the next place on the list. Hoo hooo hooooo, land er down on that rooftop there Stantlers, hoooooo hoo hoo hoooo.”
The sleigh landed and Delibird hopped out. The man handed it some bags and Delibird jumped down the chimney. Once inside, Delibird quietly tiptoed to the tree and began laying small boxes underneath. When it was done, Delibird flew back up the chimney and back onto the sleigh. “Good job little fella. Now stanlers, away!”
The sleigh magically rose from the rooftop and into the air. And he flew away saying, “Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”

That next morning, Icy and Sara and their pokémon awoke to see tiny gifts spread out under the tree. Their pokémon were very excited and Icy nodded telling them to find their boxes.
Static picked up a small yellow and black box with his name on it and gnawed the paper off. Inside was a small generator with lights going around in a circle. Static shocked the toy and it lit up. “Pihehehe!!” he laughed playing with his new toy.
Hyper dragged Cyber over to his box and use him as a knife to open it. Inside was a nice warm Dratiny Sweater. Hyper slithered into it and was happy as could be.
Cyber meanwhile, now free of the dratiny, floated over to his box and opened it. Inside were some disks with various Porygon upgrades and games, and some Porygon polish to make him shiny as new.
Each of the Butterfree found their gifts and inside were various ribbons and bows. The three quickly began trying them on and having fun together.
Frosterpie opened his present to find a crystal pokéball inside and a small crystal figurine in his likeness. He was overjoyed to get such a beautiful gift.
Icy and Sara were the only ones left. They found each other’s presents and handed them to one another. “Merry Christmas Sara,” Icy said giving her a kiss as he handed her a small box.
Sara blushed and handed Icy his present. “Merry Christmas to you too Icy,” she said and kissed Icy as well. They opened their gifts finding two glass snow flowers inside made from crystals and sapphires. Just then, the sunlight poured into the room, lighting up the crystals and radiated their colors everywhere. It was a truly magnificent scene.
“Merry Christmas everyone,” Icy said to his pokémon. Sara snuggled up close to him. “And Merry Christmas to you too Sara. I love you.”

And so, as our friends play with their presents and then head home, we wish them all and all of you a happy holiday and a happy new year. And speaking of new years, we all look forward to the adventures and stories this new year will bring.
