The Fate of Pichu

Episode 121

Last time on The Adventures of Icy and Sara,
Our heroes are still in Dark Cove but Team DarkPoké stole Pichu! Meanwhile, Team DarkPoké’s top two agents, Willow and Wisp, went to Boslin to steal another Ring of Destiny. What could they be up to?

…And now, our adventure continues…

{Opening scene plays with all new pokémon and Dark Cove pics and the new villain still in shadows wielding a copperish ring.}

We find our heroes at the Dark Cove PokéCenter. Icy and Sara were sitting next to each other on the bench. Sara was still feeling bad about Pichu being stolen.
“Icy, she’s gone…” Sara sobbed, crying on Icy’s shoulder. Icy put his arm around Sara to try to comfort her. Sara smiled just a little. She still felt bad, but she knew that Icy would never let anything bad to happen to Pichu.
“Don’t worry Sara. We’ll save Pichu I promise.” Icy held Sara close to him and remembered when Sara had comforted him when Buttercup got injured fighting Magmar. Now Sara needed him more than ever. But where would they have taken Pichu.
Trinity was holding Suihou in her lap. She looked over at Icy and Sara, then back down at Suihou. “They wanted both of them and nothing else…” Trinity wondered. “Don’t you think that’s kinda strange?”
Lewis got his pokémon back from Nurse Joy and sat next to Trinity. “You ok?” he asked.
“What? Of course I’m ok,” she answered turning her head away.
“Oh right. Sorry.” Lewis looked at Suihou. “They were after him too,” he said.
“Yeah, but that’s all they wanted. According to the people here, these thugs steal everything from a trainer. It just doesn’t make sense.”
“Yeah, I know what you mean,” Lewis replied. “You know, I don’t think those scientists told us everything from their tests,” Lewis said looking suspiciously at Suihou.
“What do you mean?” Trinity asked. She knew there was something strange about Suihou, but not knowing where it came from, she had nothing to base normal on. “Why would they not tell us something?” Trinity asked noticing Lewis beginning to move closer to her. “Grr…” she growled then placed her fist on Lewis’ head. “Down” she said coldly. Suihou giggled through the whole ordeal.
“Icy. Would Mr. Icy please come up to the desk please? Your pokémon are all healed.”
Icy went to the desk and took the pokéballs from Nurse Joy. He returned to the bench where Sara was still sitting with her head down. Icy sat down beside her again. “Sara c’mon. Everything’s gonna be alright.” Sara gave a little nod as Icy helped her up.
“Are we leaving Icy?” Lewis asked.
“Yeah.” Icy held Sara’s hand as the group left the PokéCenter.
Once outside, the group started thinking where to begin looking for Pichu. All they knew was that Team DarkPoké was behind this and that Suihou was also a target. But where would they have taken Pichu?
“Thank you sir,” said Lewis as a man walked away. “According to that guy, Team DarkPoké definitely has a HQ somewhere in town. I think Pichu may still be in Dark Cove. He didn’t tell me much more…”
“That’s ok Lewis, at least we can be safe to assume they didn’t get too far,” Icy said, hoping to comfort Sara. “So now we just gotta find someone who knows where this HQ is.”
“That won’t be easy. Seems they really terrorize this city. I don’t think many people would take the chance we are… Then again, we could always wait for them to come back for Suihou,” Trinity said looking at her bubbly pokémon. She didn’t want Suihou to be in unnecessary danger, but there had to be some way of finding Team DarkPoké.
“Icy, what about those scientists? They said there was nothing special about Suihou, but Team DarkPoké only steals very rare and valuable things according to those people I spoke with. If Suihou is such an uninteresting pokémon, why steal just it and Pichu?”
“Well, a Pichu isn’t exactly a rare pokémon,” Icy said.
Sara interrupted him, “But my Pichu was a special one, remember? She had those really shiny gems around her neck. That’s not exactly normal for a pichu.”
“True, but they were after both of them at once. Something just isn’t right here Icy. It feels as if we have been thrown into a situation predetermined, as if someone else is holding all the cards and knows our next moves. Think about it,” Lewis said while the group stared at him.
“You may have a point there Lewis. As we were getting closer to Dark Cove, Mewtwo spoke with me.”
The group gasped. “Wait, Mewtwo is involved in all this?” Lewis asked.
“Possibly. But he didn’t seem like this was one of his schemes. He told me that he had come to warn me. Something about this whole continent has him on edge. He even mentioned something about Dark Pokémon, but not natural ones. He thinks someone is turning good pokémon into dark, evil pokémon. I bet this Team DarkPoké has something to do with it.”
“Come to think of it, those uniforms did look familiar…” Sara spoke softly.
“Huh? What did you say Sara?” Icy asked.
“Well, remember when we were about to board the S.S. Anne II? Those two crooks were dressed very similar to those guys who just stole Pichu.”
“Hey. And what about those two weirdoes at the off-shore mining rig? I think they had the same markings on their gear as those guys. This is really getting a little too weird now. I think Lewis might be right and we’ve walked into a trap. Something just doesn’t fit here…”
“We need to figure out what’s really so special about not only Suihou, abut Pichu as well. Perhaps we are playing into somebody’s hand, but it’s time we start to change their luck. Let’s find those Team DarkPoké guys and get some answers!” Icy and the others nodded to each other and were about to get going when they suddenly stopped. “What? No way.”
Everyone stepped back upon seeing who it was. “Well, not a very happy-to-see-me kinda group are you?” Mewtwo asked.
“What are you doing here Mewtwo?” Icy said coldly. “If you just wanted to talk, you could always just take me, not all of them.”
“I’m afraid that this time I must make an exception Icy. You and your friends are all involved now. I tried to warn you but as usual, you just never give up.”
“Of course not. So what do all of us have to do with whatever it is you are thinking of?”
“You already know the answer to that question Icy.” Mewtwo turned to Sara. “Sara, there is something special about that pichu you found. I can’t say what yet, but I do know that you and Icy must recover Pichu before it’s too late.”
“Hey, hold on there… What about me and Trin?” Lewis asked. Trinity made a face at him for calling her Trin.
Mewtwo looked down at Suihou. “Yes. You must ensure Suihou doesn’t fall into the wrong hands. I know we have had our differences in the past, but right now it would be in both our interests to work together.”
“Well then help us Mewtwo,” Icy said. He looked over to Sara. “Pichu may have some really important power, but to Sara, she’s her friend, and we’ll do whatever it takes to get Pichu back. Maybe you could help us.”
“I understand her feelings toward this pichu, so, I will attempt to find where she is. Please give me a moment.” Mewtwo glowed for a moment then spoke again. “She is still in Dark Cove. Those Team DarkPoké thieves have her. I can take you to them.”
“Why not help us defeat them?” Sara asked.
“I cannot. I no longer directly interfere with the world’s events. But I can still give you guidance. I will teleport you there. You should have your pokémon ready. Good luck Icy.”
“Thanks I guess…” With that, the group found themselves standing outside a small warehouse.
“This must be their hideout,” said Lewis.
“Let’s just hope Pichu is in there and she’s alright.” Everyone nodded. “On the count of three.”

=====

They counted to three then with the help of their pokémon broke down the door.
“Hey, you kids can’t just barge in uninvited. Let’s teach these children a lesson and steal their pokémon in the process. Attack!!!”
“You better give my girlfriend her Pichu back. We aren’t normal trainers,” Icy said clinching his fist.
“Strong words, but we are Team DarkPoké. We are the most powerful pokémon team in the world. Do you really think you can defeat us and save your little friend?”
“What kinda question is that?” Lewis asked, almost laughing.
“You think you’re funny young man? We’re gonna teach all three of you a lesson for messing with other people’s business. Attack!!!”
Icy took out a pokéball as did Lewis and Trinity. “Ready to fight, come in sight, Icy calls… Buttercup!!!”
Lewis took out a pokéball with a Cyndaquil. “Go get them.”
“Chikorita, I choose you!” Trinity called sending out the rainbow colored pokémon.
“Don’t despair Trinity, I shall save Pichu,” Lewis shouted attempting to appear brave.
  “It’s Sara’s Pichu Lewis,” she said as Lewis quickly facefaulted. @_@;;
“Hey, I don’t mean to butt in, but you can both help get my Pichu back,” Sara was saying.
“STAY OUT OF THIS!!!” Lewis and Trinity replied.
Meanwhile, the Team DarkPoké agents were rubbing their heads in amiss for the altercation going on with the kids. “I don’t know if we scared em into discussing defeat or if they are actually having a fight?”
“Let’s make the most of the situation. Attack!”
“Aren’t you forgetting someone?” Icy asked standing beside the leader of the squad.
“Arggg, get off of me you dumb kid.” He went to throw his fist at Icy, but he was too slow for Icy’s teleporting powers. “Try making a fool out of me will ya, see how you like this!” The leader threw out his pokéball containing a Muk. “Hahaha, get him!”
“You gotta be joking. Buttercup!” Buttercup didn’t need even psychic instructions to know what to do with this toxic waste pokémon. She fluttered into the air and fired down a massive psybeam, defeating the Muk with a single hit.
“Haha kid, next time watch the real battle, haaahahaha, huh?” The lead DarkPoké trainer was about make his get away when he found Sara and Trinity blocking his path. “You are all persistent children. You’re attempt to stop us is worthless. It’s already too late for you all to make any difference in what will come.” The trainer looked done at Suihou and grabbed it.
  “HEY!!!”
“Tah tah, ouuhfff,” he said slamming into Lewis. Actually, he stopped only a hair’s length in front of Lewis who was using his psychic powers to hold him still.
“I think you should give Suihou to me right now.” He used his psychic power to force open his grip so Lewis could get back Suihou. Then, he let the trainer go.
“You stupid kids. You have no idea what you have walked into.” Finally, the trainer vanished.
“Look Trin, tada!!!” Lewis proudly held out Suihou to Trinity and puckered up hoping for a kiss.
“Jeez Lewis, you had the guy right there and didn’t even think about trying to get Pichu!” Lewis sighed… another attempt at winning Trinity’s affection… crashes and burns.
“Trinity!!! I’m sorry,” Lewis cried out before dropping his head. Suihou giggled and flew into Trinity’s arms.
“Humph… C’mon everyone, we better find out where they took her now.” Lewis was still sorta motionless so Trinity finally grabbed him and dragged him along. “You are coming too, maybe you can redeem yourself.”
“You mean it!” Lewis hit the ground as Trinity grunted, letting go of his shirt. “Ouch.”
“You are hopeless you know that.”

So the four trainers decided to follow the DarkPoké agents down the hallway the saw them flee, but meanwhile, we find it may be too late.
“Is our little test subject ready?” asked a dark voice.
“Almost sir. She’s being more of a pain, these little pokémon are always such a handful…”
“It’s nothing you can’t handle. She wouldn’t be such a bother if you hadn’t lost that bubbly pokémon to those brat kids.”
The agent lowered his head. “Sir, forgive me…”
“Worthless. Redeem yourself by making this test a success within the hour. You led those children here I suppose. That brat Icy is a very clever and persistent trainer. He’ll follow a Butterfree to the ends of the Earth and back. As far as we know, that Pichu belonged to his little girlfriend, so he’s gonna look for it. When he finds her… I want Pichu to destroy her old friends. Fwaahhahahahaha.”
  “Yes… Yes sir.”

What evil plans does Team DarkPoké have in store for poor little Pichu? Will our heroes save her before it’s too late, or is it too late for them? Find out on the next Adventures of Icy & Sara: The Rings of Destiny.
